This holiday season, come to the The Temescal Winter Art Hop for a festive cornucopia of special events at the neighborhood's galleries and small businesses. Pick up your map of participating locations, get the map stamped at at least 8 locations, and redeem it for prizes: a basket of artwork, a $50 Lanesplitter Gift Certificate, a Free Haircut at 17 Jewels, and more.  

The annual holiday art sale by Oakland Under $100 will once again take place at the Temescal Art Center. A group of Oakland artists and designers have come together to offer beautiful, affordable arts and crafts for your unique-gift needs. We'll also have live music, both at 17 Jewels Salon + Spa  (48th and Telegraph) and in the Temescal Alley near 49th. Interface Art Gallery, in Temescal Alley, will host a holiday gift show featuring prints and affordable originals.

Gallery shows include "MFA in Event Planning" by Paul Morgan at Rise Above, "Sex Dreams, Freeways, and the Lost Race: a Listening Party and Art Exhibition" at Smokey's Tangle, and Do NOT miss MacArthur B Arthur's final show, "The Home Show", that addresses the experience of domestic life in an exhibition space.
