Want to share your knowledge of Oakland? Your opinions about the best places to go and things to do?

Come out and contribute at an Oakland Writing Party from 6 to 9 p.m. this Wednesday, Nov. 7.

We'll have snacks, drinks , writing coaches and people to sit and work beside you, all upstairs in the Tech Liminal conference room.

The goal is to help folks write some posts and stories about Oakland that will share more information about our vibrant, amazing city - from many points of view. We'll help you edit your work and share it as part of the Oakland Writes series on Oakland Local.

Bring your laptop and some story ideas - and for this first session, we'd like folks to come prepared to write on the following topics and themes:

  • Eat it: Best places to eat lunch in Oakland (be prepared to share a place you like and why you like it, as well as what to eat there)
  • Where to get a good burrito in Oakland
  • Where to get good hamburgers  in Oakland
  • Where to get good pizza in Oakland

We'll be writing pieces that we can share on Oakland Local as community voices and opinions. To RSVP, sign up here: eventbrite.com/event/4760158763

If you are unable to attend, we are having a second party - with new topics - from 6 to 9 p.m. Nov. 20.

What To Bring

-Laptop, if possible
-Ideas on the topic
-Energy
-Fun!
