BUILD IT! WORK IT! OWN IT!

The CrossRoads Co-Op, with support from Phat Beets Produce, are in the final stages of opening a co-op community kitchen and cafe in the North Oakland Flatlands at 942 Stanford @ Lowel, the home of the Saturday North Oakland Farmers' Market. 

This Co-Op kitchen is a grassroots venture started by a group of  historic North Oakland residents  working to support local food micro-enterprise businesses of marginalized and under-employed residents of North Oakland.  The space will host a community cafe, a rentable commericial kitchen space, youth juicebar, and will feature neighborhood made, packaged goods. 

It is also home to Phat Beets Produce.  Community! Cooperative Economics! Collective Efforts!

We need your help! We need to raise $18,000 buy Nov 14th to open the kitchen this year!  Please support this local cooperative venture for the North Oakland Flatlands, by the North Oakland Flatlands

Supported by community events, Phat Beets facilitates youth in leadership roles engaging their peers in healthy eating and nutrition discussions through fruit and vegetable sampling. Phat Beets works to connect small farmers to urban communities via the creation of farm stands and farmers markets in local establishments.
