From our friend Steve Snider:
Oakland Box Theater and Gallery 10 Year Reunion Party will have many
local legends in the house from musicians to poets to visual artists to
DJs and filmmakers. There will be some really great people and
organizations participating in this event, as well.
Production and promotion collaborators
are: Hot Water Cornbread, Unify Sound and Go Live. This night will be
something really special! Think First Friday’s in Oakland with food
vending, arts and crafts vending and many live performances.
There will
be at least two performances areas: the 400 seat Lakeside Theater and
the amazing new Pop Up Gallery space adjacent to the theater. There will
be more than eight hours of performances by some of the Bay Areas finest poets
and musicians to be followed by a legendary dance party featuring DJs
Sake One, Fuze, Aebldee and Jah Yzer. Tickets are $10-20 sliding scale.
This is a fundraiser to support future Oakland Box Theater programs and
additional donations are gladly accepted. All donations are tax
deductible.
