The beginnings of the Oscar Grant mural

A group of Bay Area graffiti artists including Desi of W.O.M.E., Arrow-Soul Council (Epiz, 912, Base 10, Hopes 4, Selk), Mr. E, Melissa and Abicus have been collaborating to create a large scale mural protesting police brutality on the side of a local business on 16th Ave and East 12th Street in Oakland. Christine Joy Ferrer has been taking photos and documenting the process for the Oscar Grant Memorial Arts Project.
