With the 2012 NBA Finals over, the next step for every team is to acquire and retain players on their active roster.

The Golden State Warriors are going to host its FREE 2012 NBA Draft party this Thursday, June 28, at 3000 Broadway Restaurant Bar & Lounge in Downtown Oakland. Doors open at 4 p.m. and fans are invited and have the opportunity to follow every pick in the draft on any of the 3000's 16-high definition television monitors.

The Warriors currently have four picks entering the draft; including two first-round selections.

One of many NBA teams rumored this year to be in talks of possibly trading one or multiple picks in the 2012 NBA Draft are the Warriors. Its four selections consist of the seventh pick in the first round, the 30th pick in the first round, the 35th pick in the second round and the 52nd pick in the second round.

Other notable activities that fans can participate in at the Warriors draft party are: A meet and greet with Warriors players Charles Jenkins and Jeremy Tyler from 4 to 4:45 p.m.; an autograph session for the first 100 fans; appearances by NBA and Warriors' Legends Alvin Attles and Nate Thurmond; appearances by the Warrior Girls; food and drink specials; and a Q & A session with the team's top draft pick.

The last time the Warriors had four or more picks in a NBA draft was in 1995. In 2001, they also had two selections in the first round.

Fans are advised to come early to this event because one lucky person will have the chance to attend a press conference introducing the Warriors draft picks on Monday, July 2.
