The Golden State Warriors will host "fan night" Thursday, April 26 on the final game of the season at Oracle Arena, in Oakland.
As one local sports team prepares for the end of a season, two other Bay Area teams "gear up" for one of the most anticipated and highly-watched televised sporting events of the year.
The Golden State Warriors will play the San Antonio Spurs at 7:30 p.m. TONIGHT, Thursday, April 26, at Oracle Arena in Oakland. Thursday's night game not only will be the Warriors final game of the season, but also officially will be "fan night."
To celebrate arguably the best fans in the NBA, the Warriors are offering everyone in attendance 50 percent off all food, drinks and selected merchandise. In addition, one lucky fan will have the chance to win $1 million. As a part of the team's on-going fan shooting contest at every home game since March 24, one season ticket holder (who has renewed a ticket for next season before halftime) automatically will be selected to take a three-quarters court shot for the cash prize.

In other news, the Warriors recently announced that Bob Myers - who last year joined the team as Assistant General Manager/Vice President of Basketball Operations, has been promoted to general manager. However, perhaps an even bigger deal to Warriors fans, was the announcement that the team has launched its first-ever official mobile app.
This new app allows fans to stay connected to Warriors news, stats, videos and exclusive special offers. Add this to the fact that the team provides free in-arena Wi-Fi access and it is clear to see that the Warriors are making a strong push and effort to use technology and digital growth to connect with thousands of tech-savvy fans.
