New boxing gym opens in West Oakland

There's a new boxing gym in West Oakland, right on Magnolia Street! 

Champ Nation Boxing Gym, a family and youth oriented gym that is focused on serving local youth, had a soft-opening on Saturday, Sept. 22. According to founder Ben Bautista, founder of San Francisco's Straight Forward Boxing Club, "Everyone, including young people, business employees, as well as professional and amateur boxers can come to Champ Gym and feel safe, train hard, and become better people. Champ Nation was created to help build lives of champions, both inside and outside the ring.”

Champ Gym is 6,000 square feet; Saturday's opening event featured local special guests, including Juaquin Gallardo, 2012 Olympian Jose Ramirez, and SFC fighters including flyweight world champion Ava Knight (NorCal No. 7), junior welterweight contender Karim Mayfield (NorCal No. 4), and amateur world silver medalist Raquel Miller.

Champ Nation Boxing Gym is located at 2635 Magnolia St., Oakland. The gym phone is (510) 222-2269 and they are signing up members now.

I remember the Pacquiao-Bradley fight, I couldn't believe the decision. All I know is that when I watch Pacquiao vs Marquez live streaming I expect the fight to be little more fair. I hope they chose the judges properly this time. I need to find a good Pacquiao vs Marquez stream, I better start looking!

This newly open boxing gym can give inspiration to the aspiring boxer and make them determined enough to be a good boxer just like Pacquiao, many boxers do idolized and respect Pacquiao. Actually this December 8, Pacquiao will gain more respect to his fans around the world by facing Juan Manuel Marquez for the 4th time. Tickets are always sold out, so I will be watching it via pacquiao marquez live stream with my family and friends.
