Is there a better way to chase off post-holiday winter blues than with more blues?

Appearing at Yoshi’s Oakland this Friday through Sunday - Jan. 14–16 - are some of the biggest names in blues harmonica: Mark Hummel's Blues Harmonica Blowout, Billy Branch, Sugar Blue, Carlos Del Junco and Rod and Honey Piazza.

Between them, these artists have dozens of awards, hundreds of accolades and more than a century of touring and recording. Their credits read like a who’s who of the last few decades’ most influential musicians and projects. These are the giants of blues harp, all in one place: a virtual harpoonapalooza.

Each have 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. shows this Friday and Saturday, with a 7 pm. show on Sunday. An additional Sunday matinee features $5 admission for kids and discounted admission for the adults who bring them. It promises a crazy amount of family fun and intergenerational connection through good music with broad appeal.

Tickets for all the shows may be purchased online.

Yoshi’s Oakland is located at 510 Embarcadero West, Jack London Square.
