What is all the data around us and what happens when we dive into it?

How can cities and communities experiment with data? What tools and skills grow our data power?

Find out all this and more at the OakX Data-Driven City event this Wednesday, July 11, in downtown Oakland.

Panelists will share their pioneering civic innovation work, discuss the intersection of data and communities and explain the potential of open data. They include:

  • Jay Nath, Chief Innovation Officer for the city and county of San Francisco
  • Jake Levitas, Research Director at Gray Area Foundation for the Arts
  • Steve Spiker, Research and Technology Director at Urban Strategies Council
  • Eddie A. Tejeda, 2012 Code for America Fellow

Learn more about each panelist HERE.

What is OakX? It is about discovering and sharing what is emerging. OakX will host a short series of non-partisan, civic forum events for local and regional thinkers, leaders and entrepreneurs to present ideas and practices for innovation in the civic realm. Learn more.
